I am a qualified and experienced trauma-informed Integrative Counsellor and a registered and accredited member with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
I work in person with adults in Rochford, Essex, as well as by telephone and online, and I adhere to the BACP’s Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy.
Life can sometimes feel like a choppy sea, with waves of emotion washing over us. Perhaps you are feeling anxious or sad at present, or maybe you are feeling depressed or angry. This may relate to your relationships, your health, work or another issue. Perhaps you are uncertain why you feel as you do; you may even feel unsure what you are feeling, but that you just don’t feel ‘right.’
On occasion, we can all struggle to cope or feel overwhelmed with things that are happening to us. We can even dislike ourselves or our behaviour.
I offer a safe, comfortable and secure space for you to talk about your difficulties and how they are affecting you. I work compassionately, with respect and empathy. Experience has taught me that being heard, understood and responded to by someone who is trained to do so, can help to ride out the storm, restoring an inner feeling of calm.
